Liverpool ace calls out Ibrahimovic and Pogba ahead of Man United clash

EMRE CAN claims Liverpool have the quality in their squad to handle Manchester United’s summer signings.
Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford was accompanied by a host of star players, including former Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
All told the Red Devils brought in more than £150m worth of transfers in the summer window.
Liverpool spent a comparatively modest £68m as they purchased the likes of Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum to bolster their squad.
But Can, who joined the Reds for £10m back in the summer of 2014, reckons his side can still go toe-to-toe with United despite the gulf in price tags.
Speaking of Pogba and Ibrahimovic, Can said: “We are confident about matching that, we have a very strong squad.
“They are both very good players, we know that, but we have bought very good players as well. We are confident enough and we want to win the game.”

Can added that he’s hoping the Liverpool fans can lift their side to victory.
“The atmosphere is always special and, for me, is one of the best atmospheres in the world, maybe the best one,” he continued.
“Our fans are great. They have to show that again against Manchester United.
“They are like the 12th man for us. If they push us, of course it’s different on the pitch. It’s always nice to play in front of the amazing fans.
“Hopefully against Manchester United it will be the same and we will all together win the game.”

Watford FC manager more concerned by Liverpool star Emre Can than Jurgen Klopp

Watford FC manager Quique Sanchez Flores has stated that he is thinking about the threat posed by Emre Can and his teammates ahead of Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.
The Hornets are currently on an impressive run of form which has seen them win their last three league games. The newly promoted side find themselves in seventh place with 25 points after 16 games.
“Klopp is a very positive manager and he’s always thinking about good, offensive football,” the Spaniard was quoted as saying by Eurosport.
“He wants to learn about the Premier League and it is new for him.
“But I’m not thinking too much about the coach, I’m thinking about Adam Lallana, Emre Can, Christian Benteke. That’s more important than thoughts of Jurgen Klopp.”
Can is expected to keep his place in Liverpool’s starting line-up when the Red’s take on Watford tomorrow.
The 21-year-old has been a constant feature in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI since the German manager’s appointment.  Klopp has opted to use Can primarily in midfield whereas the Red’s former manager Brendan Rodgers frequently played the 21-year-old in defence.
Liverpool sit in ninth place with 24 points in 16 games in the league and have gone two weeks without a win. The Red’s can move up to fifth place with a win tomorrow depending on results of other sides.
